SuperTables Upgrade Guide
for Enterprise Licenses

SuperTables for Power BI has seen a major upgrade. The previous version, now called SuperTables Legacy, provided powerful data exploration. Now, the complete SuperTables experience is available for Power BI, offering the same advanced functionality that Tableau users already know and love.

This guide walks enterprise users through upgrading their license and getting started with the complete SuperTables visual.
An upgrade guide for Microsoft App Store purchases is available here.

Step 1
Grab your License Key

Your existing license key is all you need to get the new SuperTables!

If you’re unsure where to find it, you can also retrieve it from your user portal.

Step 2
Activate Your Key in Power BI

In edit mode, in the ‘Visualizations’ tab, add and select the new SuperTables visual.

In the same tab, click the center option ‘Format Your Visual’, scroll down to ‘Licensing’ and enter your existing key.

Enjoy the Complete SuperTables Experience.

Update your reports:

  • Open your Power BI reports that currently use SuperTables Legacy.
  • Remove the old visual.
  • Bring in the new SuperTables visual.
  • Reapply your preferred configurations and formatting.

Once set up, you’ll have the ability to export and import configuration settings within SuperTables (between Power BI and Tableau), allowing easy reuse of table setups across dashboards and platforms!

With the upgraded version, you’ll gain access to:

  • Pivot tables, just like in Excel

  • Grouping & Drill-Down
  • Conditional Formatting

  • Saved views

  • And a whole lot more!

Upgrading your enterprise SuperTables license ensures access to the complete, fully featured version for Power BI, offering viewers the power of interactive and dynamic Excel-like tables.
